Location: Narodni trg - Pjaca square

The event will begin on Saturday, February 11, 2023, while the central part of the program will take place at Pjaca square on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.

City company Žnjan d.o.o., in cooperation with the City of Split and the Tourist Board of Split, organizes the traditional Split Carnival.

The Coalition of Youth Associations (KUM), in cooperation with radio KLFM, is in charge of the program conception of the Split Carnival. The Coalition of Youth Associations (KUM) is the oldest registered coalition of youth associations in Croatia (since 2001) that works on the production and promotion of contemporary cultural and artistic events in Split. Acting through Club Kocka, one of the few alternative clubs in Split, it provides young people with innovative programs. It also supports young people with space, technical conditions, and mentorship for research in all areas of musical and visual creativity.

The event will begin on Saturday, February 11, with the collection of the city's keys at Pjaca square at 11:00 a.m. in front of the Old Town Hall.

The central part of the carnival program will take place right at Pjaca square on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, on the stage in front of the Old Town Hall, with the program starting in the afternoon.

The daily music program of the carnival will be hosted by the DJs of Radio KLFM. About twenty volunteers participate in the work of radio KLFM every day, and the radio addresses a more demanding audience. With its non-profit status, it does not conform to the tastes of the majority, which is already the target group of all other commercial radio stations. It currently has a listenership of over 5,000 unique listeners per month. Since 2013, it has been the leader of the "Work in the Community" project, holding numerous workshops and programs.

In addition to the DJ program, face painting and mask-making workshops will take place on the square from 4:00 p.m. The children's program will continue from 5:00 p.m. with the announcement of the best children's mask at 5:45 p.m.

The evening program on the stage will begin at 8:00 p.m. with the performance of the bands JUSTIN'S JOHNSON and KUZMA & SHAKA ZULU, with the announcement of the best mask, which will take place at 8:45 p.m.

From 10:15 p.m., the reading of a sentence to Krnjo will take place, and after the procession, which will start around 10:45 p.m., Krnjo will be burned at 11:00 p.m.

After the carnival, the party continues in Club Kocka at the after party until the late hours.
