Thursday, December 8, 2022, at 8:00 p.m
The Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, the main organizer of musical events in the south of Croatia and the organizer of a series of festivals and music cycles, will celebrate its jubilee 100th birthday in a few years. To this day, this award-winning professional music orchestra of the city of Dubrovnik has become a recognizable musical body even outside the borders of the homeland, performing a diverse repertoire with renowned local and foreign artists. On the program of the third concert of the Dalmatian cycle, it will perform works by L. Sorkočević, K. Odak, B. Papandopulo, and G. Tudor under the direction of Split maestro Ivan Hut, who has been the conductor of the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra since the end of 2020. With this performance, Ivan Hut will make his professional conducting debut in his hometown after obtaining a diploma in conducting at the Codarts Hogeschool Voor de Kunsten in Rotterdam in 2018.
