IZLOŽBA: SMOJE BEZ CENZURE
Lokacija: Fotoklub Split (Marmontova 5, 21000 Split)

Miljenko Smoje is a Croatian journalist, writer, and television screenwriter. He wrote travelogues, screenplays, reports, and satires about ordinary people and modern life. He published on Radio Split and in Slobodna Dalmacija, Vjesnik, and Feral Tribune. Smoje was born in a fishing family in Split. His grandfather and father were fishermen. He grew up in the Veli Varoš district. He graduated from high school in Split in 1941. Later, he graduated from Croatian language and history at the Higher Pedagogical School.
With the exhibition at the Photo Club, the city of Split officially begins the "Year of Miljenko Smoje", and a rich cultural program on the occasion of the great jubilee - 100 years since Smoje's birth - will take place until the end of the year. From exhibitions, musical performances, and entertainment events to theater performances, numerous stakeholders of the cultural scene of the city of Split got involved and decided to pay tribute to the greatest chronicler of Split and Dalmatia with their programs.
The exhibition, through 38 photographs, reveals Smoje to the eye of the observer exactly as he is and as his contemporaries remember him - handsome and sharp, dedicated to Split, Dalmatia, and their little man.
