Ana Opalić - Portraits (1994 - 2020)

In the mid-1990s, Ana Opalić embarked on a series of portrait photographs of close people, friends, and family members, which she captured at long intervals. These portraits are an ongoing work, a lifelong project about the duration of life, and the artist's closeness to the people she photographs and revisits forms the foundation of this photographic series. It documents (dis)continuity of life itself, which will continue as long as possible. By recording the impermanence of the world that surrounds us, which is here and simultaneously daily disappears before our eyes, the author records the presence of the invisible, the human form of time.
