CELEBRATION OF THE SPLIT-DALMATIA COUNTY DAY

The Split-Dalmatia County is celebrating its day, the 30th anniversary of its establishment, and the feast day of its patron saint, Saint Jerome, with a rich program.
On Friday, September 22nd, starting at 11 AM in front of the Church of Saint Jerome on Marjan Hill, the opening of the art colony 'Saint Jerome' is scheduled, featuring the participation of 14 painters and 12 sculptors who will present their artistic interpretations of this saint. The organizers of the art colony are the Split-Dalmatia County, the University of Split, and the parish of Saint Cross in Veli Varoš.
On Thursday, September 28th, at 11 AM, an exhibition of works created during the art colony will open at the University Gallery in Split. The same day, a formal session of the County Assembly will take place at the Croatian National Theater in Split, starting at 11:30 AM, with an entertaining program beginning at noon on the theater's plaza, featuring performances by the Sinj Majorettes and the Croatian Wind Orchestra 'Gradska Glazba Imotski'.
On Friday, September 29th, at 9 AM, the International Scientific Conference 'Faces of Saint Jerome' will open at the Bishop's Palace in Split. On the same day, at 8 PM, a pre-premiere of the documentary film 'Our Saint Jerome', directed by Antonija Hrvatin Roth, the editor of the religious program at the Croatian Radiotelevision, will be held at the Croatian National Theater in Split. The film was produced at the initiative of Split-Dalmatia County and filmed in Split, Solin, Jerusalem, Rome, and other locations related to the life and work of Saint Jerome.
