WORLD TOURISM DAY IN SPLIT WITH THE STORIES OF DIOCLETIAN AND THE NEW COUTURE COLLECTION BY MATIJA VUICA

As part of the event Stories of Diocletian, organized by the Tourist Board of Split, on Tuesday, September 27, on World Tourism Day, starting at 8:30 p.m. in the Peristyle square, the fashionable traveling theater "Matija Nomadic" will take place.

Diocletian and his wives are the subject of Matija Vuica's new couture collection, which will be presented at Peristyle under the direction/production of Viktor Draga. The fashionable, traveling theater "Matija Nomadic" brings at Peristyle desert princesses, Queen Teuta and her Amazons, African queens, nymphs, Roman and Greek goddesses, Theodora, and unforgettable prophetesses from Hades...

Take a journey through the history, art, and culture of ancient times, cultures, and civilizations that met at this intersection of paths, roads, and routes. The silk road, colors, skills, and exchange of beliefs, left an indelible mark on the architecture of Split, a mosaic that tells a story for all the senses with its tiny, visible, and hidden details.

The fashion show is also the closing event of the Stories of Diocletian, which, throughout the summer, every Friday, provided a unique experience to all local and foreign visitors. Thematic evenings such as Memories of imperial Split, Sapere aude - Dare to know, or Meeting of ancient troops, are only part of the program that tells the story of the imperial history of Split.
