Exhibition: The Longest Journey. The first voyage around the world
Organizers are the Embassy of Spain, the Spanish Cultural Action together with the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Kingdom of Spain, and the University of Split.
Dragan Ljutić, Rector of the University of Split, will address the gathered guests, and the exhibition will open Alonso Dezcallar De Mazarredo, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to the Republic of Croatia.
The 15 panels will present the 500th anniversary of the world's first voyage, a journey that humanity has long dreamed of. It was started by Ferdinand Magellan in 1519, Seville, and completed three years later, in 1522, by Juan Sebastián Elcano and the crew of the ship Victoria, making it the longest voyage of the time and the first voyage around the world.
The exhibition remains open until November 26, 2021.
Opening hours: Monday to Friday: 08:00 a.m. - 09:00 p.m., Saturdays from 09:00 a.m. - 02:00 p.m.
Admission is free but controlled following the epidemiological measures of the competent Croatian health authorities.
