Location: Croatian Mountaineering Club "Mosor" (Sinovčićeva 2, 21000 Split)
On Sunday, March 7, the traditional ascent of "100 women to the top of Mosor" will take place on the occasion of International Women's Day, while an exhibition of archival photographs will take place on the premises of the Croatian Mountaineering Club Mosor on Monday, March 8, at 7:00 p.m.
This famous event first took place in 1974 on the model of a similar Slovenian event in (100 women to the top of Triglav), and for many years was the most massive event of mountaineering and recreational content dedicated to women and celebrating Women's Day, contributing to the popularity of hiking and visits to mount Mosor. Photographs from the club's archives were used to set up the exhibition, and many participants borrowed their youth photographs, booklets, and badges. The exhibition consists of numerous texts from the press and short recorded interviews with participants who recalled their anecdotes and fond memories from the ascent in which they participated.
The exhibition will be open until May 1 and can be viewed on Tuesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesdays from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m.
