Location: Gallery School (Fausta Vrančića 15, 21000 Split)
Duration: September 30 - October 26
Sandra Sterle comes up with a project that is both subtle and invasive. In the process of reconstruction, she is aware of the fragile state of personal memories, for example, when the chronological sequence deceives us when information overlaps and emotions come to the surface. She works with a personal archive, but also interrogates it, emphasizing the beauty of subsequent documentation in which facts and fiction come together. It uses memories and imagination at the same time and states that real-life stories are a product of our mind and that our mind is dead if not viewed from a dynamic perspective that is more related to quantum physics than calm linearity. It is even more challenging to tell stories about others through our mind, which filters information in many layers - wrote the curator of the exhibition, Olivia Nitis.
The exhibition takes place until October 26, every working day, Monday to Friday, from 5 to 8 p.m.
