The exhibition "100 Years of the Adriatic" opens in the Photo Gallery of the Photo Club Split (Marmontova 5, 21000 Split) on Monday, September 28, at 7 p.m. to mark the centenary of its founding.
The exhibition chronologically goes through the century-old tradition of the swimming and water polo club Jadran, from the very beginning until today. The photos will remind visitors of the days of the founding of the Adriatic Club. The exhibition will also mark the construction of homes and swimming pools on Zvončac. The two biggest sporting successes of the water polo club, two European titles, and swimming legends of the Adriatic, well-known male and female faces who marked Adriatic swimming feats, will also be part of the exhibition. The photos will remind people of recent history, of two Olympian swimmers thanks to whom the Adriatic is writing a new history today and renovating its home.
Jadran is the oldest swimming and water polo club in Split, founded in Baluni Bay on the west side of the port of Split on September 23, 1920.
The exhibition will take place until October 7 during the working hours of the Photo Gallery of the Photo Club Split.
Visitors are kindly requested to adhere to the epidemiological guidelines during their stay at the Gallery.
