Keep IT Green

Keep IT Green

On Friday, June 2, 2023, starting at 11:00 a.m. in the multimedia hall of the Spinit incubator, the Tourism and Catering School Split and the Electrical Engineering School Split presented the Keep IT Green project.

It is a digital application Marjan App, which is the result of several months of engagement of 20 students of these schools and their mentors (Andrea Bilandžić; TUŠ Split and Marin Ivandić; ETŠ Split) in cooperation with partners: Public Institution for the Management of the Marjan Forest Park, Tourist Board of Split and ICT County - Digital Dalmatia, as part of the Public Call of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Croatia "Promotion and strengthening of competences of professional and artistic occupations for tourism" in 2022.

The Keep IT Green project is an excellent indicator of successful multi-sector cooperation with the aim of encouraging student competencies, creativity, and entrepreneurial initiatives for the future.

The application is intended for tourists and citizens of Split, and it reveals the rich history, natural and cultural heritage, sports and recreational facilities, and scientific value of the Marjan Forest Park.

The Project aims to present Marjan Hill as the lungs of the City and a valuable treasure of natural and cultural heritage from the perspective of green and digital transition and sustainable tourism, suggested by the very name of the Project and application - Keep IT Green.

The application is available as part of the digital totem that will be placed at the gates of Marjan Forest Park and as a web and Android version for use via mobile phones.
