NOVEMBER AT YOUTH CENTER SPLIT

NOVEMBER AT YOUTH CENTER SPLIT

 Location: Youth Center

Duration: November 1st to November 30th, 2023.

November in Split's Youth Center is typically filled with events, and to make your selection easier, we've highlighted a few events that you definitely shouldn't miss.

The Sound Art Festival "Ispod bine," organized by the Mavena association - 36 of its wonders, will take place from November 9th to 13th in the premises of the Youth Center and will host various sound artists such as Marko Ciciliani, Radian, Roj Osa, I.M.Klif, Davor Gazde, Marija Mratinić, The Anti-Teleological Rock Combo, Audio Leakage Community, and Kopaton Records.

Mid-month, don't miss the opening of the exhibition "Disruptions in the Reception of Images: Transfers of Photography in Design 1960 - 1990." The exhibition will open on November 16th in the MKC Gallery and is dedicated to the relationship between photography and graphic design from the late 1960s to the late 1980s in Croatia and how this relationship deepens our understanding of both media, providing a unique insight into visual arts, media, and popular culture during that period. Graphic design, in particular, served as a bridge that transcended the boundaries and limitations of artistic, club, documentary, and journalistic photography in our environment.

The following day, on November 17th at 8 PM in the Amphitheater, you can enjoy the dance performance "Salto animato" by Nastasja Štefančić Kralj and Filipe Bavčević.

The fifth edition of the Night of Circus program, held across Europe, will have its Split edition at the Youth Center, organized by the Circus Collective association. From November 17th to 19th, you can look forward to a screening of the film "The Queen's Influence," the performance "The Overcoats" by Italian circus artist Davide Perissutti, and a physical theater workshop.

The Cyan Festival of Visual Culture, taking place over two days on November 24th and 25th, will bring together experts in architecture, animation, wayfinding graphic design, photography, and typography at the Youth Center's Amphitheater.

From the rich educational program, we highlight: Production workshop led by producer Tibor Keser (November 2nd - 4th), "Writing as Performance" workshop led by Nina Gojić and Martina Tomić (November 5th), social dance workshops every Sunday, theater lighting workshop (November 13th - 16th), color correction workshop (November 17th - 19th), introduction to acrobatics - a dance technique and partnering workshop (November 18th), a lecture by Jurica Pavičić on "Introduction to Film Dramaturgy and Screenplay Technique" (November 21st and 22nd).

This is just a part of what awaits you until the end of November. The entire program is available on the website dom-mladih.org and on the Facebook and Instagram profiles of the Youth Center, where you will also find all the details on how to apply for participation in educational programs.
