On Friday, 12 June at 7:00 PM, the exhibition Bath House by Canadian artist Julia E. Dyck opens at the Gallery of Klub Kocka. The exhibition is presented as part of the qEXHIBITIONS programme line of the queerANarchive collective.

Bath House transforms the gallery into a speculative bathing environment, drawing on the artist’s research into bathing practices—from queer bathhouse culture and Finnish sauna rituals to contemporary forms such as sound bathing. Through an installation composed of archival materials, textual records, sound works, soap sculptures, video, and olfactory elements, the space becomes an environment of slowed-down time and porous boundaries, inviting visitors into a shared experience of presence and connection.

About the Artist: Julia E. Dyck is a Canadian artist and hypnotherapist based in Brussels. Her interdisciplinary practice brings together sound, performance, and altered states of consciousness to explore the boundaries between the body, technology, and the (sub)conscious mind. Through participatory and immersive works, she uses voice, vibration, and storytelling as tools for collective transformation.

Her work includes live hypnosis sessions, lecture-meditations, and sound compositions that combine poetry, binaural frequencies, and field recordings. She frequently works in collaborative formats, while her recent research focuses on queer ecologies, psychoacoustics, and the subconscious as a space of resistance and renewal.

Dyck has exhibited internationally, including at the Karachi Biennale, Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Bétonsalon, and the Palais des Beaux-Arts de Paris.

Visiting Hours. The exhibition is open to visitors from Monday to Thursday during gallery opening hours, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
