CRYSTAL CLEAN EXHIBITION "SIGNS OF CHANGE"
Location: Cultural Hub Space (Plančićeva Street 2)
Dates: October 18 - November 6, 2023, opening at 8:00 PM
In the creative hub Space, organized by the "Culture Hub Croatia" platform, the "Signs of Change" exhibition will open on Wednesday, October 18 at 8:00 PM. The exhibition will remain open until November 6 and can be visited on weekdays from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
The exhibition is the result of a residential stay and several months of research in the Split and Dalmatia region, as part of the "New Eco Realities: Crystal Clean" project. The project's authors, graphic designer Dora Bilandžić and cultural manager Andrea Šarić, engaged in conversations with people from the local community, food producers, and individuals who embrace alternative lifestyles. They distilled their impressions and reflections into a series of new works in experimental media that address the challenges they encountered, possible directions, and solutions.
Crystal Clean is a multidisciplinary artistic project initiated in 2019, centered around the theme of society's new relationship with nature. The project is motivated by a response to the climate crisis, loss of biodiversity, and other consequences of contemporary consumer society. The main intention of the project is to empower individuals to take individual action, advocate for a stronger connection with nature, and build a community.
The exhibition is part of the "Spaces of Sustainability" program that the "Culture Hub Croatia" platform is implementing in 2023 within the creative hub Space. The "New Eco Realities: Crystal Clean" program is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia. The work of the "Culture Hub Croatia" platform is supported by the National Foundation for the Development of Civil Society and the Culture Nova Foundation.
