Darija Nonveiller Šesto, a medical doctor by profession and a resident of Zagreb today, has been professionally engaged in photography for over 15 years. However, her love for "writing with light" began in her childhood, inspired by her father Ervin and grandfather Egidij Nonveiller, both passionate about this esteemed hobby and hailing from Split.
Darija Nonveiller Šesto's interests lie in macros, abstractions, female characters, and portraits. She experiments with new techniques and technologies, such as IR and UV photography.
Her latest muse in her creative journey is the female nude, which is the focus of this exhibition. Striving to showcase the beauty of the lines and volumes of the female body, captured in backlight, the author selects poses that sometimes appear completely abstract.
As she herself says, "It was not my intention to depict the female body as an object of desire, but rather to capture the refined beauty it carries. A woman who collaborates with her model conveys emotions that radiate from such photographs in a completely different way." Darija Nonveiller Šesto is a member of the Zagreb Photo Club and holds the AFIAP title.
In addition to solo exhibitions in Croatia and abroad, she has participated in numerous group exhibitions. She has received around thirty awards, and last year, she was named the best Croatian exhibitor at the Zagreb Photography Salon.
