Musica Adriatica Ensemble aims to promote, perform, and revitalize music with roots along the Adriatic coast. It was founded in 2019 by conductor Sara Dodig Baučić. The first project they released was a collection of sacred motets titled "Sacrae cantiones" by the early Baroque Croatian composer Ivan Lukačić. The ensemble performed this collection in a concert in December 2019, marking the 400th anniversary of the first edition of the collection, in the Cathedral of St. Domnius.
