The Croatian Association of Visual Artists (HULU - Split) is an  association of professional artists that continuously promotes contemporary forms of artistic expression at the sites of cultural heritage. Among the most important exhibition space is UNESCO's world heritage site of Basement Halls of Diocletian's Palace.

Since 1980's HULU Split has been organizing annual exhibition programme in The Diocletian Palace Substructures. Exhibitions often redefine the historic site transforming it into a modern dynamic place of artistic exploration, contemplation and direct communication with visitors.

In 2019 seven site-specific exhibition projects will take place in Basement Halls of Diocletian's palace. With the aim of encouraging interactive living art and creating new artistic values in the open spaces, two projects will also take place in the open public space of Riva in front of Diocletian's palace.

Although tickets for visiting Basement halls of Diocletian's palace are charged, visitors who want to  visit exhibition only will be able to see it free of charge. Everyone visiting the exhibitions can get 40% off on return train tickets to and from Split.
