Retrospektiva Fotokluba Rijeka u Galeriji fotografije Fotokluba Split

U Galeriji fotografije Fotokluba Split, u četvrtak, 14. rujna 2023., u 19:30 otvara se izložba "Retrospektiva Fotokluba Rijeka".

Profesor Borislav Božić, predsjednik Fotokluba Rijeka, u predgovoru izložbi piše: "Koncept ove izložbe prati kontinuitet aktivnosti Fotokluba Rijeka kroz cijelo 20. stoljeće i ova dva desetljeća 21. stoljeća. Fotoklub Rijeka je, ne samo u dimenziji Rijeke već i cijele Hrvatske pa i šire, važan fotografski rasadnik kvalitetnih autora koji su ušli u antologiju nekadašnje jugoslavenske, a danas hrvatske fotografije. Hobistička fotografija, neki je nazivaju i amaterska, ima važnu i društvenu i artističku ulogu pa u tom smislu tu fotografiju, koja se radi iz ljubavi u Rijeci, možemo pratiti od osnivanja prve fotografske sekcije krajem 19. stoljeća. (...) Danas se Fotoklub Rijeka stručnim radom i programskim konceptom profilirao u ozbiljnu instituciju koja je prevladala hobističku platformu i sasvim ozbiljno i kompetentno djeluje u svim aspektima fotografskoga stvaralaštva. Svojim javnim djelovanjem formirao se u referentni centar za fotografsko stvaralaštvo na širem području. Vrijednost Kluba je što okuplja sve dobne skupine. U radu ne pravimo distinkciju između profesionalne i hobističke fotografske platforme, već promatramo fotografiju kroz kategoriju dobroga i lošega stvaralaštva. Pokrenuli smo Festival riječke fotografije PHOTORI, te Festival fotografije za mlade Život je lijep koje već niz godina provodimo."

Izložba je realizirana uz podršku Ministarstva kulture i medija, Grada Splita, Splitsko-dalmatinske županije te je dio programa “Redoviti godišnji program udruge Fotoklub Split” koji se financira iz sredstva podrške Zaklade “Kultura nova”.

Izložba ostaje otvorena do 25. rujna i može se pogledati u radno vrijeme Galerije fotografije (Pon - Pet: 10:00 - 13:00 / 18:00 - 21:00; Sub: 18:00 - 21:00).

Retrospective of the Rijeka Photo Club at the Split Photo Club's Photography Gallery

The exhibition "Retrospective of the Rijeka Photo Club" will open at the Photography Gallery of the Split Photo Club on Thursday, September 14th, 2023, at 7:30 PM.

Professor Borislav Božić, the President of the Rijeka Photo Club, writes in the exhibition's preface: "The concept of this exhibition follows the continuity of activities of the Rijeka Photo Club throughout the entire 20th century and these two decades of the 21st century. The Rijeka Photo Club has been an important breeding ground for quality photographers, not only in the context of Rijeka but also throughout Croatia and beyond, who have made their mark in the anthology of former Yugoslavian and current Croatian photography. Amateur photography, sometimes referred to as hobbyist, plays a significant societal and artistic role. In this sense, we can trace its history in Rijeka, where it is pursued out of love, back to the founding of the first photographic section at the end of the 19th century. (...) Today, the Rijeka Photo Club has evolved into a serious institution with its professional work and program concept, transcending the realm of amateur photography and competently engaging in all aspects of photographic creativity. Through public activities, the Club has established itself as a reference center for photographic creativity in the wider region. What makes the Club valuable is that it brings together people of all age groups. In our work, we do not make a distinction between professional and amateur photographic platforms but rather evaluate photography based on the categories of good and poor creative work. We have initiated the Rijeka Photography Festival 'PHOTORI' and the 'Life is Beautiful' Youth Photography Festival, which we have been organizing for several years."

The exhibition is realized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Media, the City of Split, the Split-Dalmatia County, and is part of the "Regular Annual Program of the Split Photo Club Association," funded by the "Kultura nova" Foundation.

The exhibition will remain open until September 25th and is on view during the working hours of the Photography Gallery (Monday - Friday: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM / 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM; Saturday: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM).
