Jedinstveni projekt "Šotobraco Splitom", koji je nastao u suradnji Turističke zajednice grada Splita i Folklornog ansambla (FA) Jedinstvo Split, odvija se od lipnja do kraja rujna, jednom tjedno, četvrtkom (s mogućim iznimkama utorkom).

Ovaj koncept oživljava bogatu plesnu baštinu Splita te pruža nezaboravno iskustvo posjetiteljima i domaćinima.

Tijekom ovog događaja, na nekoliko lokacija i trgova u gradu, 6 plesnih parova i mini orkestar FA Jedinstvo, svi u prekrasnim splitskim nošnjama, izvode tradicionalne splitske plesove. 

"Šotobraco" započinje u 18:00 sati, a tijekom srpnja i kolovoza u 19:00 sati. Okupljanje je ispred zgrade Hrvatskog narodnog kazališta na Trgu Gaje Bulata, a potom prolaze Marmontovom ulicom, Rivom, Voćnim trgom, Pjacom i Zlatnim vratima. Važno je napomenuti da ruta nije fiksna, već se prilagođava situaciji u staroj gradskoj jezgri kako bi građanima i posjetiteljima pružili najbolje iskustvo.

Ovom prilikom članovi FA Jedinstvo će animirati građane i posjetitelje da se pridruže plesu, upoznaju se s prekrasnom splitskom nošnjom i nakitom te zabilježe posebne trenutke fotografijama s njima. Ovo je prilika da doživite bogatstvo splitske kulture, upoznate se s tradicijom i stvorite trajne uspomene.

Duration: June - September 2023 (every Thursday) 

The unique project "Šotobraco Split" is a collaboration between the Tourist Board of Split and the Folk ensemble Jedinstvo Split. It takes place from June until the end of September, once a week, on Thursdays (with possible exceptions on Tuesdays). 

This concept revives the rich dance heritage of Split and provides an unforgettable experience for both visitors and locals alike. During this event, at various locations and squares in the city, six dance couples and a mini-orchestra from the Folk ensemble Jedinstvo perform traditional Split dances, all dressed in beautiful Split costumes. 

"Šotobraco" begins at 6:00 PM, and during July and August, it starts at 7:00 PM. The gathering point is in front of the Croatian National Theatre building at Gajo Bulat Square, and then it goes through Marmontova Street, Riva, Voćni trg (Fruit square), Pjaca (People's square), and Zlatna Vrata (Golden Gate). It's essential to note that the route is not fixed; it is adjusted based on the situation in the old city core to provide the best experience for citizens and visitors. 

During this event, members of the Folk ensemble Jedinstvo will engage citizens and visitors to join the dance, learn about the beautiful Split costumes and jewelry, and capture special moments with them through photographs. It is an opportunity to experience the richness of Split's culture, get acquainted with its traditions, and create lasting memories.
