Tradicionalna gradska manifestacija Praznik cvijeća, kao i prošle godine, stiže nam kao najava proljeća i nadolazeće turističke sezone te je kao takva ove godine prepoznata od grada Splita i proglašena je manifestacijom od posebnog značaja!

Manifestacija se održava u periodu od 20. – 26. ožujka na dvije lokacije sa više različitih tematskih programa!

Sam naziv manifestacije „Flowers & fashion“ najavljuje da se radi o međunarodnoj manifestaciji, ali i najavljuje temu ovogodišnje manifestacije. Ugostit će se dizajnere cvijeća i floriste iz Španjolske, Italije, Mađarske, Slovenije i Poljske, koji će timskim radom zajedno sa kolegama floristima iz cijele Lijepe naše aranžirati prostorije Dioklecijanovih podruma. Cjelokupne aktivnosti odvijati će se pod rukovodstvom Simona Ogrizeka, predsjednika Florinta - međunarodne organizacije cvjećara!

Izložba cvijeća ove godine prezentirati će aktualnu modu te će se tijekom tjedna održati više modnih tematskih večeri. Na ovaj način cilj je prezentirati i druge obrtničke zanate, osim samih cvjećara.  Kroz manifestaciju održati će se revija frizura te dvije večeri modnih revija modnih dizajnera iz Splitsko – dalmatinske županije. 

U sklopu Praznika cvijeća održat će se edukativna prezentacija za cvjećare na temu Uskrsa koju će održati renomirani europski floristi. 

U sklopu Praznika cvijeća, po drugi puta zaredom održati će se Forum Sekcije cvjećara Hrvatske obrtničke komore gdje će se na panelu pod naslovom „Cvjeta li cvjećarstvo u Hrvatskoj – sadašnjost i budućnost“ raspravljati o aktualnoj situaciji u cvjećarskoj struci.

Praznik cvijeća i ove godine će se održati na prostoru Rive, gdje će se odvijati prigodna prodaja cvijeća koja na simboličan način ima humanitarni karakter, gdje će proizvođači cvijeća sa područja Siska, Gline, Petrinje i Topuskog prodavati cvijeće i sadnice, čime naši sugrađani imaju priliku na direktan način pomoći proizvođačima cvijeća sa potresom pogođenih područja!

Osim prigodne prodaje cvijeća, na Rivi će se održati i „handmade“ sajam, koji se odvija u suradnji sa firmom Žnjan d.o.o., gdje će sudjelovati OPG-ovi, domaće radinosti, pčelari i proizvođači meda, proizvođači prirodne kozmetike na bazi cvijeća, ljekovitog bilja. 

U suradnji sa Parkovima i nasadima d.o.o. priprema se uređenje gradskih ulica i formiranje novih cvjetnih gredica na različitim lokacijama kao najava ovogodišnje manifestacije.

Organizacija manifestacije je u rukama Udruženja obrtnika Split, u suorganizaciji sa Obrtničkom komorom Splitsko – dalmatinske županije, gradskim tvrtkama Žnjan d.o.o.,  Parkovi i nasadi d.o.o., a pod pokroviteljstvom grada Splita, Turističke zajednice grada Splita i Muzeja grada Splita. The traditional city event, the Flower Festival, comes to us as an announcement of spring and the upcoming tourist season. As such, this year, it was recognized by the city of Split as an event of significant importance!

The event takes place from March 20 to 26, 2023, at two locations with several different thematic programs!

The very name of the event, "Flowers & fashion", announces the theme of this year's event. Flower designers and florists from Spain, Italy, Hungary, Slovenia, and Poland will participate. They will arrange the rooms of the Cellars of Diocletian's palace with their fellow florists from all over Croatia. All activities will be under Simon Ogrizek's management, president of Florint - the international organization of florists!

This year's flower exhibition will present current fashion, and several fashion-themed evenings will take place during the week. In this way, the goal is to present other crafts apart from florists. During the event, there will be a hairstyle show and two evenings of fashion shows by fashion designers from Split-Dalmatia County.

As part of the Flower Festival, an educational presentation for florists on the theme of Easter will take place by renowned European florists.

As part of the Flower Festival, the Forum of the Florist Section of the Croatian Chamber of Crafts will take place for the second time in a row, where the current state of the florist profession will be a theme of discussions on a panel entitled "Is floristry flourishing in Croatia - present and future".

This year's Flower Festival will also take place on the city promenade (Riva), where a special flower sale with a humanitarian character will take place, where flower producers from the areas of Sisak, Glina, Petrinja, and Topusko will sell flowers and seedlings, giving our fellow citizens and visitors the opportunity to help flower producers in earthquake-affected areas!

In addition to the flower sale, there will also be a "handmade" fair on the Riva, which takes place in cooperation with the city company Žnjan d.o.o., where OPGs, domestic handicrafts, beekeepers and honey producers, producers of natural cosmetics based on flowers and medicinal herbs will participate and exhibit.

In cooperation with Parkovi i nasadi d.o.o., the arrangement of city streets and the formation of new flower beds in different locations are under preparation as an announcement of this year's event.

The organization of the event is in the hands of the Split Craftsmen's Association, in co-organization with the Chamber of Craftsmen of the Split-Dalmatia County, the city companies Žnjan d.o.o., Parkovi i nasadi d.o.o., and under the auspices of the city of Split, the Tourist Board of Split and the Split City Museum.
