Location: Concert hall Hrvatski dom Split - Concert Hall Ivo Tijardović (Tončićeva 1, 21000 Split)
Time: February 1, 2024, at 7:30 PM
World-renowned bass-baritone, Krešimir Stražanac, joins forces with one of our most esteemed ensembles, the Zagreb Soloists. Especially dedicated to the performance of baroque music, Krešimir Stražanac selects a series of "old Italians" in this program, featuring the most beautiful arias and canzonettas by Alessandro Scarlatti, Antonio Vivaldi, and Alessandro Stradella. He also includes arias by the classical composer from Split, Julije Bajamonti, whose concert aria "Cello tonante" is a favorite in the repertoire of domestic baritones.
The Zagreb Soloists will perform one of Antonín Dvořák's most popular orchestral works, the Serenade for Strings in E major, op. 22. Dvořák composed this piece with elegant contours and a cheerful, warm mood in just 12 days in May 1875. After its premiere in 1876, the work quickly gained great popularity, which it continues to enjoy to this day.
