The Judita 500 exhibition at the Old Town Hall (Narodni trg, 21000 Split) will be open on Thursday, May 6, 2021, when you can view it from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., in compliance with the epidemiological measures.

Due to the epidemiological situation, a grand opening will not happen. From May 7, 2021, the day of the heavenly patron of the City of Split, St. Domnius, the exhibition is open to visitors during the working hours of the Old Town Hall: Monday-Friday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The organizer of the large exhibition on the occasion of the first printing of Marulić's epic "Judita" 500 years ago is the Split City Museum in cooperation with Marulianum and the City Library Marko Marulić. The public will see four of the first five editions of Judita published in Venice in 1521, 1522, 1586, 1627 at the same time for the first time, while the third edition from 1523, kept in the State Library in Munich, will be shown in reprint covers.
The first and only complete edition of Judita, kept by the Franciscans Monastery of the Little Brothers in Dubrovnik, has been digitized and, as such, is available for browsing. The Split City Museum has printed a facsimile edition of the first edition.
The authors of the whole concept of the exhibition are the curators of the Split City Museum, Darko Perko Kerum, and Marija Plazibat. Collaborators at the exhibition are Branka Brekalo - director of the Split City Museum; Dina Vuletin Borčić - senior restorer of the Split City Museum; dr. sc. Bratislav Lučin and mr. sc. Branko Jozić from Marulianum Association; and from the City Library - director Grozdana Ribičić, Marija Gabriela Perić, Vesna Jukić Oštrek, Renata Vojvodić.
