WHERE TO GO WITH KIDS IN SPLIT? - WEEKLY EVENT PROGRAM (January 9th - January 14th)

"Split for Kids" is the first online information platform about events for children in Split and its surroundings (currently only on Instagram and Facebook).

 

It is the right place to find all the information about workshops, performances, concerts, and other events for the youngest.

 

The author of this project is Romana Ban.

January 30th at 10 am: "Good Morning Stories: Friendship Bench" (story reading series for children aged 4 to 7)
Brodarica Library (Terzićeva 5/IX, Split)
Free participation for GKMM members. No registration required.
The picture book 'Friendship Bench' by Wendy Meddour and illustrator Daniel Egneus will be read.


January 30th at 6 pm: "Little Magical Reading Room: Rooster's Crew"
Marko Marulić City Library (Ulica slobode 2, Split)
Free participation for GKMM members. No registration required.
This reading room is intended for children aged 3 and up. The book 'Rooster's Crew' is written by Sanja Lovrenčić, and illustrated by Ana Kadoić.


January 30th at 7 pm and February 3rd at 11 am: "Animal Carnival" (musical-puppet workshop for children)

Ivo Tijardović Concert Hall, Croatian Home (Tončićeva 1, Split)
Ticket price is 5 EUR.
In a 45-minute musical-puppet adaptation co-produced by the Croatian Home Split and the City Puppet Theater Split, four talented actors and an excellent pianist will present the Animal Carnival in a witty and entertaining way.


January 31st at 6 pm: "Come, Let Me Tell You: Suli's Adventure - Friendship"
Mejaši-Kila Library (Vrboran 19 A, Split)
Free participation for GKMM members. No registration required.
The book 'Suli's Adventure: Friendship' is written by Maja Šimleša and illustrated by Sven Nemet.


February 3rd at 10 am: "Art Workshop: Carnival Masks"
Bol-Plokite Library (Tolstojeva 32, Split)
Free entrance. Reservations at 021/685-050 or email: bol-plokite@gkmm.hr.
The workshop will be led by painter and poet Jagoda Kecman.


February 3rd from 10 am to 12 pm: "Design Starter: Splitopoly" (workshop for high school students)
Academy of Arts (Zagrebačka 3, Split)
Participation is free, and registration is mandatory by February 2nd at 5 pm via email dizajnerskapocetnica@umas.hr.
During the workshop, participants will engage in the creative redesign of the Monopoly game, reinterpreting it as Splitopoly!


February 3rd from 10:30 am to 12 pm: "Oops! I Ate a Story" (writing workshop for children in grades 2 to 5)
Space - Culture Hub Croatia (Plančićeva 2, Split)
Workshop fee is 12 EUR, and registration is mandatory at kucaodprica@gmail.com.
Children will hear a story about Henry who loved eating books and discover the unusual situations their characters can get into if they eat something they shouldn't.


February 4th from 2 pm to 4 pm and from 4 pm to 6 pm: "Creating a Magical Carnival Hat" (creative workshop for children aged 5 to 12)
Space - Culture Hub Croatia (Plančićeva 2, Split)
Workshop fee is 15 EUR. Register at 098 699 434 or email tatjanin.djir@gmail.com.
Workshops are held in two groups: the first group from 2 pm to 4 pm, and the second group from 4 pm to 6 pm.
Under the guidance of Tatjana Kostrenčić Janković, children will have the opportunity to create their magical hat from various materials (stars, pompoms, colorful ribbons, colorful wires, playdough...). All materials are included in the price.


Tinker Space Day - February 4th, 2024:
10 am for preschool children (4-6 years old)
12 pm for schoolchildren (7-12 years old)
Workshop fee is 20 EUR. Mandatory registration via this form.
The workshop lasts for 75 minutes.
