The Folk Ensemble Jedinstvo from Split invites you to sing along with them in anticipation of Christmas and the new year, featuring special guests, the male klapa (a cappella singing group) Praska from Podstrana.

Founded in 1919 in Split, the Folk Ensemble Jedinstvo is one of the oldest and most decorated folk ensembles in the Republic of Croatia. Currently, it boasts around 200 members divided into 6 dance and musical sections. Through its activities, the ensemble nurtures Croatian folk heritage and culture, regularly showcasing its folklore legacy in performances both domestically and internationally. Since 2018, it has been presenting the notable program "Jedinstveni Božić s Jedinstvom" (Unique Christmas with Jedinstvo), singing carols on city squares and streets during Advent Saturdays and holding Christmas concerts.

The male klapa Praska from Podstrana was established in 2008 and actively participates in spiritual, cultural, and entertaining events throughout Croatia. Its members also serve as folk church singers. The klapa represents and promotes klapa singing, recognized by the world cultural community and listed as intangible cultural heritage under UNESCO protection. They have had noteworthy performances in Belgium, Slovenia, Macedonia, the Czech Republic, and Montenegro.

At this vocal-instrumental Christmas-New Year concert, Jedinstvo and Praska will beautifully usher you into the holiday season. Singers will revive past times with their carols, and the mandolin orchestra will arrange well-known Christmas songs in their unique style, bringing a touch of New Year's tunes.
