This year's French Language and Culture Days (FLCD) kick off with a solo recital by Tomislav Damjanović featuring Debussy, Ravel, Mozart, Chopin. Established in 1993, FLCD is a cultural and educational event that engages various institutions in Split and across Croatia, covering classical and popular music, theater, film, visual arts, photography, literature, and more.
The aim is to popularize the language, culture, and cultural policies, where France excels globally. The program includes lectures, screenings of animated and live-action films, exhibitions, concerts, insights into theater arts luminaries, tributes to the city of Vukovar through the portrayal of G.M. Chenu, the first Ambassador of France to Croatia, to the presentation of the role of the Observatory of Cultural Policies. The event concludes with an Evening of French Chanson - a competition for young performers at the Croatian National Theater on November 26 at 8 PM, featuring this year's honorary guest Ibrica Jusić.
