Zagreb painters Ana Ratković Sobota and Marta Tuta do not randomly choose motifs from nature they depict but landscapes with which they are vitally connected. Lately, Ratković Sobota has been focusing on Plitvice Lakes. Photographs from the beginning of the last century, which she uses as templates, are reminiscent of the magical originality of nature, and the boundaries between man and nature are poorly visible when there is coexistence. The dynamics of this harmonious relationship have been altered by mass tourism and insufficient care for protection systems, which affects the natural balance of this predominant national park. The painter Tuta found inspiration in Velebit and Zrmanja, also threatened by devastation, and in the overall surroundings of Pag, where she currently lives.

The curator of the exhibition is Nevenka Šarčević.
