In memoriam Vasko Lukas (1979 - 2022)
Time: Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 8:00 p.m
In memory of his friend and colleague from Split, Vasko Lukas, bassoonist and member of the Zagreb Philharmonic, the award-winning wind ensemble Camerata Cantilly presents itself to the Split audience for the first time with selected compositions from the classical and romantic repertoire, as well as premieres of works by Zagreb conductor Jasenka Ostojić and young composer and organist Filip Horvat. With a series of successful concerts, repertoire advancement, and performance quality, Camerata Cantilly deservedly holds the title of one of the most interesting chamber ensembles in the country. The basic performing line-up consists of an octet composed of oboes, clarinets, horns, and bassoons, while the Camerata is expanded with additional instruments if necessary. Since its founding in 2014, the Ensemble has been working under the artistic direction of clarinetist Mihael Paar.
